A nerve conduction study requires our neurophysiology scientist to apply a small electrical impulse to the skin over the sensory, motor or mixed nerve, and record the resulting activity of the nerve, using small adhesive recording electrodes placed on the skin. The test is non-invasive and has no side effects.
Needle electromyography (EMG) is not currently available, and as such our services focus primarily on peripheral nerve lesions and neuropathies.
A report will be provided following your testing session, and forwarded to your specified contacts and referring practitioner.
Workers Compensation and Motor Accident Compensation referrals are welcome.
As our testing is performed by a Clinical Neurophysiology Scientist, a Medicare Rebate is not able to be generated as the testing is not performed by a Doctor, however Medicare card holders eligible for a rebate will receive a concession to the amount of the Medicare rebate.
Please contact us for up to date service fees. Please note that Medicare rebates are not available, however Medicare card holders eligible for a rebate will receive a concession to the amount of the Medicare rebate off the full fee.
